Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about VPS hosting, ordering, delivery, refunds, and the GabeVPS service.

A VPS (Virtual Private Server) is a virtualized server that gives you a dedicated slice of compute resources — CPU, memory, storage, and network — on shared physical hardware. Unlike shared hosting, a VPS gives you root access and full control over the operating system and software you install, while being more affordable than a dedicated server.
VPS hosting uses virtualization to partition a physical server into multiple isolated virtual servers. Each VPS runs its own operating system and has dedicated resources, so your workloads are isolated from other customers. You manage the server through SSH (Linux) or RDP (Windows) and install the software you need.
Start with your workload. For a small website or development environment, an Entry or Standard VPS is usually enough. For databases, caching, or data-intensive workloads, consider a High-Memory VPS. For compilation, rendering, or parallel processing, a Compute VPS is a better fit. For large file storage or backups, choose a Storage VPS. When in doubt, start with a plan that gives you some headroom and upgrade later.
GabeVPS supports a wide range of operating systems, including AlmaLinux 8 and 9, CentOS 7, Debian 11 and 12, Fedora 41 and 42, Rocky Linux 8 and 9, Ubuntu 20.04, 22.04 and 24.04, and Windows Server 2019, 2022 and 2025. You can select your preferred OS during the ordering process.
After your order is processed, your VPS configuration information, access details, and setup instructions are delivered by email. The email includes your VPS specifications, connection information, and basic setup guidance so you can get started quickly.
Your VPS details are delivered by email after your order is processed and payment is confirmed. The exact timing depends on the order processing workflow. We do not promise a specific delivery time, but you will receive your information as soon as the order is complete.
Yes. A VPS is well-suited for website hosting, including WordPress, static sites, and web applications. You have full control over the web server, database, and PHP configuration, which gives you more flexibility and performance than shared hosting.
Yes. VPSs are popular for development and staging environments because they give you a full, isolated server to test applications, run builds, and experiment with configurations without affecting production systems.
After payment is confirmed, your order is processed and your VPS is provisioned. You will then receive an email with your VPS configuration, access information, and setup instructions. From there, you can connect to your server and begin configuring it.
Each VPS plan includes the specified CPU, RAM, storage, bandwidth, network speed, and IPv4 address. You also get root access to the server, a choice of supported operating systems, and access to the VPS documentation. The plan does not include managed services unless explicitly stated.
Yes. You can upgrade your VPS to a higher plan if you need more resources. Upgrading gives you additional CPU, memory, storage, or bandwidth. Note that renewals and upgrades are excluded from the first-order money-back eligibility under the refund policy.
Refund requests may be eligible within 72 hours from VPS provisioning completion. First-order money-back eligibility applies once per customer. Renewals and upgrades are excluded unless otherwise stated. For full details, including eligibility conditions and exclusions, please read the Refund Policy page.
